Trying to look for new broker...

Ok, so I'm trying to find a good broker for a beginner. I've been watching the pinksheet stocks mostly... so the broker needs to comply with small trades and what not. Optionshouse looks like they offer a lot for the price (check out their <a href="http://buysellstockonline.com/Optionshouse-Review/">Optionshouse review</a> here) but is it too good to be true?

Answered: Number of CPUs on my Sun Server

Sun systems are not that straight forward when it comes to listing out the number of processors or cores or threads they have. Lets start with the basics.

Basic command is psrinfo -v. In the later releases of solaris 9 an option p was introduced to help you distinguish between physical cpu and multiple cores. Assuming that -p works for your patch level, lets issue this command. This gets a lot more confusing in solaris 10, but since you are asking solaris 9, I will not get into that.. lets use the command below

>> psrinfo -pv

In addition to the above, you can also use prtdiag to get the information about your system. you can man that command to get more info, but running it with the -v flag should give you most of the information needed.

>> prtdiag -v

I dont have a readily available system to run these commands and explain the output, hope that some one else on this forum can do the same.

Answered: M5000 boot net- install failed

Welcome to the forum. Would have appreciated you joining the site instead of posting the question as anonymous.

Check a few things..

1. Check on the networking setup. Are the jumpstart server and this one in the same subnet ?

2. At OBP, try a watch-net-all and capture the interface that is ok.. Now try boot net <interface>

Many times the domain setup itself leads to the issue.. If you dont see anything in the watch-net-all then you should go back to the drawing board on how your domain was setup and validate the config.

Hope that helps

Answered: TO_DATE Equivalent in MySQL

You can use STR_TO_DATE() function to convert a string to date.

A detailed note is available here.. http://dbaspot.com/mysql-faq/476027-mysql-to_date-equivalent.html

On the second question about PL/SQL working in My SQL, I dont think oracle has announced any plans on that yet. you may want to propose that as a feature request to Oracle on Metalink / CSP

Change the parameter "max_execution_time" to a higher value e.g. 120 or 180 in your php.ini file. If it doesnt work, try increasing that further based on how far you are able to get.
Please bounce / restart Apache after making that change, otherwise the change will not take effect.

Answered: Purpose of Note It column in Axapta CRM ?

The 'Note It' column that leads to the form in Business Relations is used for writing messages about a specific business relationship. If marked as active, a marker
will become visible on the form itself (Low=White hand, Normal=Green hand,
High=Red hand) flagging that there is important information regarding this
business relationship.

Information in this column/form can also be sent to some one via email or other means if action needs to be taken on a priority basis.

Answered: What is Siebel EIM

EIM Stands for Enterprise Integration Manager and is a component of the Siebel Enterprise System Software. This component is used for Data Migration from other source systems like legacy, other CRM or other siebel siebel systems

The Responsibilities of EIM analyst are similar to an ETL analyst in Datawarehouse environments. EIM Analysts in my team are responsible for data mapping, data preparation, cleansing and Transformation, Data Loading and managing the ongoing batch runs in operations on an ongoing basis.

Most people who have had experience with handling data fit this role well and learning the EIM components itself is a straight forward process. You need to be more logical than technical for that role.

Answered: What do the 3 components SWSE, SGNS and Siebel Server do in Siebel CRM ?

SWSE stands for Siebel web server extensions and is a component that helps in receiving, load balancing of the requests and format the output pages and serve them back to the clients.

SGNS is Siebel Gateway Name Server and is a registry of siebel servers and components. When a request is received by SWSE, it contacts the SGNS server to get the information about the connectivity and operational parameters of other components and primarily the Siebel Enterprise Server.

Siebel Server is the actual application server on which the components are installed. A request passes through SWSE and looks up the details about the Siebel processes on the siebel server, the request is routed to the appropriate component to be processed and output sent back to the SWSE extension.

Good Luck with your learning..
