M5000 boot net- install failed

votes
I am new to this site.. I am trying to boot solaris from the net and install using the same. I have an M5000 with 2 domains one configured and running solaris 10 and the second one with no OS installed into it yet. To get over the dvd sharing issue, I created a jumpstart server and rpcinfo checks out ok.
Now when I try to do a "boot net - install " from the prompt, I get a "Cannot locate boot device " error as soon as I hit enter. Any suggestions on why this could be happening and how to solve for this ?

Welcome to the forum. Would have appreciated you joining the site instead of posting the question as anonymous.
Check a few things..
1. Check on the networking setup. Are the jumpstart server and this one in the same subnet ?
2. At OBP, try a watch-net-all and capture the interface that is ok.. Now try boot net <interface>
Many times the domain setup itself leads to the issue.. If you dont see anything in the watch-net-all then you should go back to the drawing board on how your domain was setup and validate the config.
Hope that helps
