Report Deployment fails in AX 2009

Question

Unable to  deploy reports to SSRS as  it fails with the errormessage as below

Unable to connect to reportserver:8001/reportserver/ReportService2005.asmx as specified in the config file for the report server at w:\Program\Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.3\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config.

 If this url is not correct please update the config file, otherwise make sure the report server is configured correctly.

In my setup, Reporting Services is configured on server reportserver port 8001 and I did verify that the URL in rsreportserver.config is correct. When I open the
reportservice2005.asmx  a WSDL document is returned, so I did confirm that I  have access to the mentioned URL.

see if this description helps solve your issue.. Also, you are way behind on your version of AX.. Any plans to upgrade ?
